Wicked Step Sister Amber

The Story: Well, it happened by mistake actually. I was going to brew some All-Star and I thought I would tweak the recipe a little to make it more BJCP friendly. However, upon tasting the brew, I realized I created a whole new ale, not even in the same category as All-Star. The beers are nothing alike side by side, but when ya look at the genetics, they share common ground, just like step sisters.

The Beer: An aroma that is malty, with a touch of nutty tones, and a color that is deep copper/red. One sip, and the flavor is quite simple, yet very refreshing and satisfying. The head on this ale of an off white color, and lasts all through the ale enjoyment (something we strive for on all our beers here at STB). The finish is smooth with a touch of caramel, and quick, almost cameo of hops. So, gather some friends around, lite a fire, boil some Dungies, and enjoy some Wicked Step Sister, hell, accept her as part of your family.
